ABOUT NATESKATE
We're here to break the mold of status-quo hockey development. We believe that skill develops fastest and the most efficiently when a player is forced to compete and exert maximum effort.
As coaches of a travel team, we were discussing after practice how we focus nearly half of our time towards skill and skating development, but the improvement and growth that we were expecting to see wasn't being realized. We came to realize that line skating and station work just doesn't accomplish the results that we're after. There's not enough control of the input, the effort is subject to the player, and the amount of edge-time isn't adequate. That is when we developed a new method for development: no line skating, as much movement/edge-time per practice, maximize the full sheet of ice, and constant competition to push the players. This is the foundation of NateSkate.
NateSkate challenges what development should be by placing emphasis on constant movement and competition. Hockey camps are available in Denver and throughout the Colorado front-range.
